Protruding Lower Incisors
Protrusion of lower incisors, also called "Class III" malocclusion, is the result of excessive growth of the mandible, or reduced growth of the maxilla, or a combination of both.
The treatment aims at stimulating the growth of the upper maxilla. This type of malocclusion must be monitored until the age of 20 years because the mandible, in these patients, tends to grow more and for a longer period of time.
